Your words stay yours.
Privacy Policy for Voice37 macOS app and web services, dated 26 October 2026. Handcrafted in Great Britain with absolute respect for individual data sovereignty. Voice37 processes speech 100% on-device with zero cloud telemetry.
Audio and writing
The native Mac implementation transcribes and rewrites exclusively on your Mac using local model files. It never sends your voice recordings, audio buffers, transcribed text, or rewrite prompts to any external cloud inference service. Recording begins only when you explicitly press the dictation shortcut or record button.
What stays on the Mac
Preferences, hotkey configurations, and selected-model bookmarks are stored locally in your macOS user Library. Transcript history is purely optional and saved locally. Retaining raw audio is a separate opt-in choice. Live speech audio remains in temporary memory until transcription finishes or the app closes; captured selection context is used solely to verify safe text insertion and is never transmitted or sold.
Temporary files and deletion
Normal dictation and cancellation immediately remove private temporary work folders. Deleting retained audio from History moves it to macOS Trash. Emptying macOS Trash remains your personal choice.
Permissions
Microphone access is required to capture audio for local transcription. The Direct build optionally requests Accessibility access to perform cross-app text insertion. The sandboxed App Store edition uses standard macOS clipboard copy/paste without Accessibility requirements.
Network access
Initial model downloads connect securely to public model repositories (such as Hugging Face) over HTTPS. Beyond downloading requested model weights, Voice37 operates fully offline without any analytics, tracking pixels, or remote telemetry.
Website privacy
The website hosted at voice37.co.uk serves static assets. It contains no tracking scripts, third-party advertising cookies, or data brokers.
Your controls
You can enable or disable history/audio retention anytime in Settings, clear history records, or delete local models from disk. macOS privacy permissions can be revoked at any time in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
